Only the highest quality fry (identified by challenge test) are used for export in order to minimize the risk of mortality during transport. Overseas customers do not have to worry about ordering fry in advance because priority is given to export sales. Prices are higher for export due to the extra paperwork, communication time, losses due to fluctuating exchange rates, etc.
